The AdDonate team came together with the vision of providing a simple way to gather micro-donations. Building a large user base will generate substantial amounts of money to worthy causes around the globe.
We believe that your browser - is in fact yours. You should be able to use it for good, we are here to make it easier. Our mission is to provide you with the simplest tools to make a difference for a cause that is dear to you.
When you install the AdDonate extension you allow it to view and alter your browsing experience. All of the processing is done on your browser and is not shared externally.
During the display of a web page the extension acts as an Ad blocker, thus providing you with a better page loading time.
In order to facilitate the donation model, the extension tries to find a few slots in the page that can accommodate a new ad that doesn't interfere with the page's content. The total amount of ads placed is limited to a very small number, and some web pages might not contain any ads at all.
All of the proceeds of the ads displayed by your AdDonate extension are accumulated, with users that picked the same organization, and are donated to said organization.
During any point in time you can change the organization you wish to donate to. All proceeds up to this point will go to the previous organization and all future proceeds will go to the newly selected organization.
We take great care to ensure no abuse, fraud, or privacy violations by or upon our users. We strongly advise against clicking or refreshing ads not in the natural process of your web browsing. Any manipulative behavior will disqualify all donations from the user, and all available legal remedies will be pursued to their maximum.
We are focused on providing you with the best user experience. The first step of which is to concentrate our efforts on our browser extension for the Google Chrome browser.
In the future we will provide the same great experience on other major browsers, allowing even more users to support their favorite causes.
